From Missoula, MT to Jackson, WY

We rolled out of Missoula around 8:30 and crossed the continental divide shortly thereafter. Now we are stopped in Ennis, MT for lunch!

There are drives that deserve the word epic. We did one of them today. Missoula to Jackson involved a dramatic thunderstorm with small pieces of hail, Teton pass with feet of snow and the kids storing snowballs in the cooler. Montana’s awe and trout streams pulled my favorite writer/thinker (David James Duncan) from his childhood home in Portland. I can see why this place would call him.
